I just installed the WRS toolkit and am waiting delivery of the Sennheiser ME3 Headset Microphone and the Andrea USB Sound Pod. I have a fundamental question: When to use the toolkit.
Do I only use it when I want to utilize the features such as additional wrs training - creating new profiles, creating macros, or processing a WAV file to text etc. or now that it's installed, do I have to open it every time I use WSR? In other words, say I have created the macros I want and done extra training with the toolkit and then I close it. And the next day I want to use WSR to type an email or letter in word. Can I just open WSR and use it directly without opening the toolkit? Will the speech training done via the tool kit still improve the WSR accuracy if the toolkit is not open at the time I'm using WSR? Please clarify when and if it's OK to use WSR alone compared to using it when the WSR toolkit is also open. Thanks, RobR |

The answer to both questions is yes. The WSRToolkit does not take up much room in terms of RAM. However, you do not lose any of the training or macros when it is closed. Marty Markoe, eMicrophones, Inc. Microsoft MVP
