Subject: The Equivalent of Moving the Space Bar Twice

Russ,

If I say "tab" in Microsoft Office 2007, then it will produce an indent five spaces in, basically the tab settings are set in Microsoft Office for the tab to move that amount of spaces.

I should point out that I am perfectly happy with this setting when I say the word "tab" and I want to keep it as a command.

What I am trying to achieve with a command macro, is say something like "two spaces" so it is the equivalent of pressing the space bar twice.

I have looked in the "Simulate Keypress" and "Command Key" and cannot see the "Space" Command.

Can you tell me what command macro I need to use to make this work and at the same time keeping my "tab" command to still work as it is at the moment?

Cheers

andy t

You can simply say, "spacebar spacebar."

Since you have the http://www.mymsspeech.com/microphones/prod_details.asp?prodID=228 - WSRToolkit , use the Command Macros feature of the WSRToolkit. Where it says, "When I Say" make the command "Two spaces." Put the cursor where it says, "Numbers, Letters, Words" and hit the spacebar twice and click Add. Then click "Create Macro with Command Sequence."

Quote You can simply say, "spacebar spacebar."

I know that but it is too long, I have are a specific reason why I need a command that will move two spaces as hitting the spacebar twice

Quote Since you have the http://www.mymsspeech.com/microphones/prod_details.asp?prodID=228 -

I tried that and it did not work.  In the "When I Say" box I dictated "Two spaces" like you said, then in the "Numbers Letters Words" box, all I said was "space", twice, (I do not know if it makes a difference whether you have to physically punch the spacebar twice or just saying "space" twice).

Anyway, by saying "space" twice in that box, all it did was move the cursor along twice in that box.

Then I said "Add" and the Command Sequence Viewer still remained blank.  I then said "Create Macro with Command Sequence", (Although the Command Sequence Viewer was blank), and the little box come up which says "Done"

When I tried it in some text, it did not work.  I also checked to see if that macro was in my library and it was.  It was there but it doesn't function.

This is how it came out.

<!-- Command macro created with WSRToolkit (Version: 1.5.0.2) 17/06/2009 15:22:48 -->

<speechMacros>

<command>

<condition operator="not">

<appIsInForeground processName="WSRToolkit.exe"/>

</condition>

<listenFor>Two spaces</listenFor>

<sendKeys>  </sendKeys>

</command>

</speechMacros>

Am I doing something wrong?  If not, got any more ideas?

Cheers

space space also works.

You are correct. The Command Macro did not work.

Thank you,

You can say-            "press space two times"

OR- You can also say-   "press space twice"

No macro needed.

I suppose I was trying to be too clever.

Cheers
