I'm writing a home automation application in Visual Basic using WSR on Windows 7. I'd like to stop the speech recognition to send controls to windows, is there a way I can tell the Speech engine not to send the command Start Menu to windows if I say it, but have my application recognize it and decide what to do with the recognized phrase?

It's like telling Windows to stop taking orders but to keep listening to what I say and sending it my application.
