I've owned the toolkit for awhile now, but never got into macros until recently. I'm trying to do something simple, but practically important. Because of my disability, and my sister's, also, there are times when she gets stuck, and there is no alternative for me but to call some one from the outside, or our own house number to get help.
So what I'm trying to do is set up a macro that will dial a specific number on my softphone. I own Express Talk, and so far I am completely capable of getting the program to launch, and the number to go into the dialing string gadget, but I cannot figure out how to issue a "Return" afterwards so that the number is actually dialed.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Smile

Take care,

Jim

See the screenshot below of the WSRToolkit Macro Creation Wizard. The "Return" key would be programmed as the "Enter" key. Also, you may well need to insert a delay (pause) before executing the Enter command.  As you can see in the screenshot, specifying a Pause and its duration is a function of the Macro Wizard.

But, Marty, that still puts the Enter command before the numbers. So in effect, all that happens is that the phone is launched, the enter key is pressed, and then the numbers show up in the string gadget. Leaving me with a call that is not made. How do I get the Enter command after the phone number?

I think I've got it! Dumb me, I'm thinking it must all be done in one command, when the Enter simply has to be added separately. Embarrassed

It's working just fine. Very handy, and a real lifesaver. Smile
