Bought Sennheiser (spelling?) mic and WSR toolkit in October 2008.  First time I used the program I was amazed.  It got words like Hashimoto's disease and hyperparathyroidism.  Performance has steadily eroded.  I was spending way too much time correcting my documents and trying to guess what I was trying to say because the text was completely nonsensical in some cases.

Started using the Toolkit.  Tried to make shortcuts (may not be right word) but they didn't work.  For instance instead of saying History of Presenting Illness 10 times a day why not say HPI.  Could not get this to work.

Emailed Marty several times but no response.  He was very helpful when I first purchased this product but not so much anymore.

Has Nuance come out with a version that will work with 64-bit Vista?

Thanks.

We have never knowingly omitted responding to any e-mail before or after the sale.  I suggest you contact us using the Contact Us button on our web site. I have several suggestions:
  1. It sounds as if the Speech Macros program may not be installed. Did you install it as per the instructions with the WSRToolkit? If that is the case, nothing else will work.
  2. You do not say what program you are dictating in. If the program does not follow TSF (Text Services Frameworks), like some EMR's, they will not work properly.
  3. Do you run the Set up my microphone utility before starting dictation and when dictation deteriorates? Your voice and the background noise levels change over the course of a day.
  4. Have you read, "Getting Started With Windows Speech Recognition?"

Yes, but for now only the Preferred and Standard Edition. The Medical and Professional versions are supposedly to be released the end of April.
