I'm curious, is there a way to create a macro that with one spoken command, would turn off the microphone for WSR, and turned it on for DNS? I still use dragon occasionally, mostly for programs where WSR doesn't perform as well |

Response:
When creating step by step macros with the WSRToolkit, use the Macro Builder and think KEYSTROKES. Ask yourself, what is the keystroke combination to turn off the microphone in WSR? Answer, Ctrl + Windows (start) key. What is the keystroke to turn on the microphone in Dragon? Answer, the + key on the numeric keypad is the default. However, if using a notebook computer without a numeric keyboard, change the default in Tools, Options, Keystrokes, to F11.
I would test out the keystroke sequences on the keyboard. My guess is after switching off the microphone in WSR, try the + (or F11 if changed) key. I just changed from WSR to Dragon NaturallySpeaking with those two keystrokes. Marty Edited by mmarkoe_admin - 24/Jan/2011 at 10:56am |

Yeah I figured that out after I posted. Unfortunately I can't even get the control plus windows key macro that I created to fire. I'm assuming the windows speech recognition macro utility has to be activated, which it is. It just doesn't seem to do anything.

BTW, when I refer to On, I mean Listening.

OK, mission accomplished on the one end, I have it successfully sending the proper keystrokes to turn off the microphone for WSR and simultaneously activating it for dns. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get dns to do the reverse.

Just realized I only have version 10 standard loaded on this machine. It doesn't do macros of any kind. I have version nine preferred but it doesn't play nicely with windows seven.
