Is there any way to get the macro to press and hold a button until the mouse clicks? On this tablet, I am finally getting my Photoshop macros in hand, but I need to press and hold Alt in order to use the clone tool (selecting the point to clone from), but while I can get it to press Alt, it will not hold until I click. Any suggestions?
Thanks :) |

Do a Google search for Sticky Keys. Marty

So the only way to do it is via Sticky Keys? I mainly ask because I don't need Sticky Keys for a majority of things, but will do for the occasional shortcut.
I have noticed that they have an option of "lock modifier keys when pressed twice in a row" - does this mean, if I have Sticky Keys turned off, I could have keys (like CTRL/ALT/WINDOWS etc) "stick" if I used the key twice in a row in the macro? Or, would I need sticky keys turned on still? Overall, I'm not a sticky keys fan... but if I can have the option of having it off (or unaffecting most of the OS) and having something like a double tap of non alphanumeric key sticking that key... It could be useful for this job. Thanks again for the help Marty. I'm sorry for the trouble I've been giving you! |

Why don't you try this to see if it works. It won't hurt anything. There is a high level programming discussion concerning this issue at: Marty

Thanks for the link Marty, I'll take a look at that now.
Andy, I'm using WSR instead of keyboard shortcuts. Some of the shortcuts in Photoshop require you to press and hold a key. For instance, for the clone tool, you need to press and hold Alt, and then click on an area to make a starting point for the clone tool to clone from. I hope this helps get an idea of what I'm attempting to do! :D |
