I have just installed Microsoft Office 12 on the computer and I have discovered that it is not working with MS office Word or outlook. I guess that I could work around this but I don't want to if possible. Have you heard of any workarounds?

Do you mean to say documents created with older Office are not working with 12?

The Microsoft Office 2007 versions of Word and Outlook should work with Windows Speech Recognition. If you just installed Office from a CD, then you may want to run Windows Update in order to download all the software patches that have been released since the CD was created. Perhaps that will help get Windows Speech Recognition working with it.

I am sorry, the problem with the installation ones I needed to reboot the computer and run it again.  Now I am ready to go with office fourteen, I guess it is.

Anyway, thanks for the help.
