This is a WSR (Windows Speech Recognition) Forum. Perhaps your question will get a better response at:
Marty
PS. As we do not currently have Windows 7, we have asked a respected computer/Dragon expert who has to respond.

I heard back from the person I believe is most qualified to answer your query, Chuck Runquist who used to work for Dragon. He wrote:
"I wouldn't try to install DNS 10.0 Medical on Windows 7 because DNS 10.0 Medical has not yet been updated. My guess is that there won't be an SP1 for DNS 10 Medical. It wouldn't make much sense for Nuance to create both an SP1 and a DNS 10.1 64-bit version for Medical when only one is necessary. I also believe that Nuance is being a little bit more protective of Medical and will force Medical users to obtain the DVD for DNS 10.1 64-bit Medical rather than provide an SP1. However, I could be wrong and they may provide an SP1 for Medical as a download. Nevertheless, DNS 10.1 Medical will not be available as a download just as DNS 10.1 Legal is not. DNS 10.1 64-bit is perfectly compatible with Windows 7. However, there may be issues relative to DNS 10.0 Medical under Windows 7 even if it is 32-bit. I'm not even going to try it until DNS 10.1 64-bit Medical is available. I do know that DNS 10.1 64-bit Standard, Preferred, and Professional (I haven't received my DNS 10.1 64-bit Legal DVD yet) are perfectly compatible with Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit. Chuck" |
