Hi,

I have been using WSR for over a year now and built up a year long vocabulary either from correcting words generally or spelling them to my dictionary.  Anyway just recently, I had a problem with my laptop and had to send it away.

I won't bore you with the problems I had but when it came back, I found I lost all my speech recognition Cry  It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be because I thought I would have to start all the way from the beginning again but I was advised to go through the tutorial again and put a few documents through the "train from text" in the WSR tool kit and it brought me back to a very good accuracy and at least as good as it was before I lost it in the first place Big smile.

I was advised by a few of the hierarchies in here that I would not get my year of training vocabulary back and I would still have to train certain words that would not come out on screen properly with my dictionary for example so I was advised to ask this question in here and the question is this?

Every now and again when a good deal of vocabulary is built up within WSR, is it not a good idea to back it up and save it somewhere just in case I encounter the same problem as I have mentioned above before?

I am assuming there are the obvious routes to take such as putting it on a memory stick or CD but what about saving it on to the computer itself, can this be done and if so could anyone tell me how I go about this?

If there is no backup device for this problem, do you not think that this should be incorporated at some stage in the future to save a lot of hassles amongst other things?

I await some of the guru experts to come back to me on this one.

Cheers
