Most web-based email accounts like yahoo.com and gmail.com support using their email addresses with Outlook through a process called POP email support. You need to check with your email provider to see if they support this protocol.

Once you determine that they support this protocol, you can configure Microsoft Outlook to work with your email account. However, you need to make sure you know the configuration information for your email address to fill in all the fields; this would include information such as the incoming server, the outgoing server, and your password. Again, your email provider must provide this information. Look for, or ask them, for information on POP email support.

My macros aren't really organized in a state where handing them off to you would be all that effective. In other words, they're a mess, and it would take hours and hours to organize them and explain them. Sorry.

-Russ

If you're having success using your web based email program with WSR, you may want to stick with it.

One advantage of switching to Microsoft Outlook is that it probably has a lot more features than web-based email. Then again, if you don't need those features, why switch? Also, because Outlook probably has a lot more keyboard shortcuts for various functions, it might be easier to create macros for different tasks.

-Russ
