   <title><![CDATA[can&#039;t seem to execute WSR Macros tool :  Greetings,I learned of WSR macros...]]></title>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.msspeech-forum.com/member_profile.asp?PF=439">alassiel</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 260<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27/Sep/2011 at 9:36am<br /><br />Greetings,<br><br>I learned of WSR macros last week while browsing a Windows support forum.&nbsp; Even as a new WSR user, I could appreciate how valuable this tool could be and promptly downloaded it.&nbsp; The install appeared to work; however, when I double click the icon to execute the tool, nothing seems to happen.&nbsp; In other words, I never see an application window nor do I see the tool icon on the taskbar.<br><br>Here are some additional details.&nbsp; From the Microsoft site, I downloaded WSR macros version 1 released January 2009.&nbsp; The release notes mention Windows Vista but not Win 7.&nbsp; Is this version of WSR macros compatible with Win 7?&nbsp; Is there a newer version?&nbsp; After double clicking the icon on my desktop, I've opened up the Task Manager to see if anything is happening behind the scenes.&nbsp; No surprise that the tool is not showing on the Applications tab.&nbsp; However, on the Processes tab, WSRmacros.exe is running under my user ID (not system ID).&nbsp; I also checked the security tab on the WSR macros properties.&nbsp; Permissions look good; my user ID has full control just like the system ID.<br><br>Am I missing any components?&nbsp; Should I uninstall and then reinstall?&nbsp; Any thoughts would be appreciated.&nbsp; Thanks.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by alassiel - 27/Sep/2011 at 11:42am</span>]]>
