I own and have Dictation Buddy installed on my computer. I would like to know if using this program to record my file directly to the computer to be transcribed will be as effective as using a recorder and transferring the file to my computer.  I have noticed that there is unusual sound with my tape recorder, but have not found this to be the case with Dication Buddy. I am using the  the Creative Lav X Fi external sound card along with the Samson  Q7 Cardioid Dynamic microphone which works very well for me.  Also I have the book By Brad Trott and I think it mentions that some people are using two sound cards.
