Author: emiliaserv
Subject: 142
Posted: 23/Nov/2009 at 1:47pm

Hi to everyone that knows me from the other forums, well I'm dictating this with Dragon on my now "old" laptop and without having a rant at Nuance, let's just say that the time has come to give WSR a try, have been meaning to do so for ages, but now have no choice as I'm running DNS 9 and it looks like you can't use it with Win 7.

Anyway, I am hoping to get some expert/practical advice on making the transition. I've been using Vocola/Unimacro and I'm hoping that most of the macros I currently use are either superfluous or can be recreated in WSR. What are the main differences or problems that someone who has been using DNS for about six years is likely to encounter upon switching over?

I see there is a toolkit and will definitely consider this in due course, as regards the video, I note that this is for Vista and wonder whether a new version for Win 7 is on the cards?

I am still making the transition between computers, but have already had one good piece of news. My Bluetooth headset paired up perfectly with the new laptop, as I suspected, built-in Bluetooth is so much better than a dongle in every respect.

Graham
