During most of my years as a user of voice dictation technology, I have been tied to the computer by a wire to the computer from a microphone. The headset microphones were very limiting as I myself could not plug or unplug the wire. When I moved up to a desktop microphone I was free of the wire and faced with the fact that noise cancellation decreased a bit. Still, it was bearable and I was free to move around. A little over a year ago I invested in the Samson 77 wireless headset microphone and experienced a significant improvement in voice dictation accuracy. I have been able to dictate to my computer from well over 60 feet away. This was an awesome realization as dictating from the same spot all the time negatively impacted on my creativity. So, the change to a wireless headset brought 2 bangs for the buck; significantly improved dictation accuracy and the freedom to dictate anywhere improving creativity. Have you shifted to a wireless headset? Please share your experience.
Take care, Jerry
